EMERGENCY services rescued a trapped motorist following a three-vehicle incident in Colchester.
Essex County Fire and Rescue, and the East of England Ambulance Service attended a collision on Saturday at 6.47pm, in Ipswich Road.
Firefighter crews reported three vehicles had “collided and one person was trapped in their car”.
The firefighters worked to rescue a woman who was “left in the care of the ambulance service”.
An East of England Ambulance Services spokesman has commented on the incident.
They said: “We were called just after 6.47pm on Saturday 19 October to a road traffic collision involving three vehicles on the Ipswich Road in Colchester.
“Two ambulances were sent to the scene and transported one patient to Colchester General Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
