INCREDIBLE photos of nature including “fairytale like” mushrooms which flourish in the autumn have bene snapped by the Gazette camera club across Colchester and North Essex this week.
October is the month for foraging for mushrooms in Britian, with different species being found even before and after mid-October, with a sunny day two or three days after rainfall being recommended.
Stephen Johnson spent an afternoon this week mushroom hunting, using a macro lens which allowed him to get close to the “very small” but “fairytale like” mushroom.
Meanwhile Jamie Bell captured fungi in Chalkney Woods near Earls Colne.
