EMERGENCY services attended an incident near West Bergholt following a crash on Sunday.
Essex Police, the East of England Ambulance Service, and Essex County Fire and Rescue attended the crossroads between Nayland Road, London Road, and Coach Road shortly before 3.30pm
A spokesman for Essex County Fire and Rescue has said: “We were called to a road traffic collision in Nayland Road on Sunday at 3.32pm.
“Two crews from Colchester attended.
“No-one was trapped, crews administered first aid and left the casualties in the care of the ambulance service at 3.57pm.”
Fire crews left the scene at 4.27pm.
A spokesman for East of England Ambulance Service said: “We were called to a road traffic collision involving two cars on Nayland Road in West Bergholt.
"Two ambulances and an ambulance officer vehicle were sent to the scene.
"Two patients were transported to Colchester General Hospital for further assessment and treatment."
