A COMEDIAN and actor known for appearances on a popular UK soap-opera and more is set perform in Colchester next year.

Entertainer Bobby Davro will bring his Everything is Funny if You can Laugh At to Charter Hall, in Cowdray Avenue, on May 9, 2025.

Bobby has built a career over the last four decades appearing on a large variety of television shows.

In the 1980s, he hosted Bobby Davro on the Box, TV Annual and TV Weekly.

He played the character Vinnie Monks in BBC’s Eastenders in 2007 and appeared on reality shows like Celebrity Big Brother, Dancing On Ice, and Celebrity Come Dine With Me.

The actor has also appeared in pantomimes around the country.

Last year, he completed a series of sold-out Edinburgh Fringe Festival shows.

He said: “With the laughter still ringing in my ears from the month of Edinburgh gigs, I thought I’d take the show on the road and catch up with my fans around the country.

“I hope to prove two things – you’re never too old for a good gag and everything is funny if you can laugh at it.

“So if you like to laugh, come along – and don’t forget, if you’re on the frontline, you’re in the punchline.”

 Doors open at 7.30pm, tickets cost £27.50.
