A NEW youth club has been opened at the Hythe Community Centre.
The new Hythe Youth Club offers a place for children between the ages of 11 and 16 to have somewhere to come together and have fun.
It will hold an event every Friday between 6pm and 8pm and is led by volunteers and is supported by Essex Youth Services.
Hythe councillor Lee Scordis said: "It is great that we are able to get this up and running after a year, with a great team of volunteers and the help of Essex Youth Services.
"We have had two successful sessions so far, where we offer children a safe space to have fun, with a wide range of activities".
The club also has a tuck shop where youngsters can buy drinks and snacks, as well as offering free fruit, water and squash at every session.
The community centre has also played a part in the set-up of the club, by offering to run the youth club for free.
The club is looking for volunteers to help out and can get in touch by emailing hytheyouthclub@gmail.com.
