A popular café and brunch spot has announced it will finally open its doors in Colchester’s city centre next week.
Honey and Harvey is taking over Sip and Tuck in the High Street, opposite the entrance to Castle Park, following the owner’s decision to focus on a restaurant project in Dedham.
Sip and Tuck closed for the final time on November 4.
The Suffolk cafe brand announced its arrival last month, meaning the eatery will not be empty for long.
Honey and Harvey has become a popular spot for coffee specialities with well-established locations in Woodbridge, Melton and Ipswich.
The move to Colchester has been much anticipated by the team, who helped transform the cafe and give it a new look.
Managing director Aaron Skerritt has been leading the expansion along with operations manager Shannon Hammond and area manager Jade Vellam.
Mr Skerritt said: “Honey & Harvey is thrilled to announce the opening of our newest location in Colchester, marking an exciting new chapter for our company.
“Building on the solid foundation and loyal customer base developed at our Suffolk sites, we are excited to bring our unique brand of locally-focused, independent coffee culture to this vibrant community.
“Our combined experience and commitment to quality will be instrumental in driving Honey & Harvey forward, ensuring we continue to champion collaboration with local suppliers and foster meaningful connections with our customers.
“We look forward to becoming an integral part of the Colchester community and are eager to share the Honey & Harvey experience with our new neighbours.
“Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey so far—your support has made this exciting new beginning possible.”
The cafe brand was founded in 2011 with the opening of its first shop in Woodbridge and expanded in 2018 to Melton and in 2022 to Ipswich, following the success of the stores.
Next to artisan coffee, the eatery also offers a selection of sweet and savoury treats, as well as an afternoon tea package, via their online shop.
Honey and Harvey will open to customers on Wednesday, November 20.
