A COLCHESTER firm is celebrating earning a coveted corporate certificate.
Marketing, PR and training agency, Mosaic, in Severalls Lane, Colchester, has achieved B Corp certified.
Run by non-profit organisation B Lab, the B Corp scheme is a prestigious accreditation that businesses can apply for.
It’s essentially a seal of approval for businesses to show their positive social and environmental impact.
According to the B Labs website, it is when a business meets “high standards of verified performance, accountability, and transparency on factors from employee benefits and charitable giving to supply chain practices and input materials”.
Mosaic CEO Karen Ainley said she was proud to be one of just a small handful of marketing agencies in the Eastern region to achieve the prestigious accolade.
Mosaic, which is approaching its 25th anniversary next year, has now joined an exclusive community of B Corps in the UK such as The Guardian, Innocent Drinks, Patagonia, Tony’s Chocolonely, The Big Issue, Finisterre, and more.
Karen said: “Since we started Mosaic, we have always worked with businesses that are kind to the world around them, which aligns with the values of the B Corp movement, and we are delighted to become certified following a lot of hard work from our team.”
Chris Turner, Executive Director of B Lab UK, said: “Welcoming Mosaic to the B Corp community is hugely exciting.
“Its commitment to doing business differently will be an inspiration to others and will help spread the notion that success in business is as much about people and planet as it is profit.”
