A MAN arrested on suspicion of murder has been released on conditional bail following a new investigation into the death of a Colchester man.
Essex Police have issued an update after a man was arrested on suspicion of murder of Stuart Coldicott.
Mr Coldicott died after sustaining a serious head injury in the city in February 2014.
Stuart, 36 at the time, was treated for his life-threatening injuries, and despite the attempts of the experts was left requiring a high level of complex daily care.
Sadly, he died aged 46 in March this year.
His passing triggered a fresh investigation by police, after a forensic post-mortem examination identified a causal link between his head injury from ten years ago and his death.
The investigation led to the arrest of a 61-year-old man on Monday, who was questioned on suspicion of murder.
The man has now been released on conditional bail until December, police have confirmed.
