A COLCHESTER pub is hoping to enjoy a bit of "cafe culture" whilst repair works are being done on the building.
Queen Street Brewhouse, in Queen Street, Colchester, is finally carrying out repairs to its building after waiting almost two years.
The repairs come after a bus damaged the building in July 2022.
Queen Street will be closed for roadworks from Monday to Saturday 30th November 2024.
Despite this the pub will remain open as usual.
A spokesman for Queen Street Brewhouse said: "We will be open as usual during the works.
"An added bonus is we can have a bit of cafe culture in Queen Street while the road is closed."
The Brewhouse hosts a plethora of events including live music and film screenings.
Hundreds of local artists and international artists have performed in the quaint setting full of history, memories and fun.
The building dates back to the 14th century and it has been occupied as a business or domestic premises for the the last 600 years.
