FITNESS fans tried out an alternative way to exercise by taking on complex skills on an aerial acrobatics course.

Danii Sosta, 35, of Colchester, is the owner and lead instructor of Flight Aerial Arts in Sprawls Farm, Bures Road.

Flight Aerial Arts offers inclusive and friendly aerial circus classes, as well as aerial yoga, pole, bungee, hoop, silks and trapeze classes.

Classes and workshops are kept small by only having eight students in the flight aerial class and no more than four students in the aerial yoga class.

The large studio space comes kitted out with “equipment to suit all heights and sizes as well as adjustable rigging points to aid in learning more challenging moves”.

Flight Aerial Arts hold an all-intensive workshop for participants.

The latest workshop saw the students new and old alike use aerial hoops, pole silks, aerial slings and more.

Danii is very proud of all the residents who took on the course.

She said: "The day was extremely fun, and everyone worked super hard learning some beautiful new shapes.

“Our next intensive day is on January 18 and it's completely suitable for beginners with no circus experience.

“We'll be focusing on solo Aerial Hoop, Static Trapeze and aerial silks.”
