ESSEX POLICE are no longer looking for a man in connection with an assault, that took place in Eld Lane last month.
The assault took place on Friday October 11 at the Purple Dog pub in Eld Lane., between 10.30pm and 11.30pm.
A man in his 40s, was left with facial and head injuries after being assaulted at the pub.
Essex Police have issued an update, stating they are no longer looking for a man in connection with the incident.
A spokesperson for the force said: "We are no longer looking to speak to a man in connection with an assault in Eld Lane, Colchester, on Friday 11 October."
"We have now identified a man seen on CCTV.
"Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal."
