A Colchester marketing agency has won a national award.
GFM, which specialises in business process outsourcing and contact centres, was named the winner of the Best Employee Wellbeing Strategy at the Engage Awards.
The awards celebrate "excellence in engagement across customer, employee, sales, and marketing".
GFM was up against 14 other companies, including big names like PepsiCo, Royal Mail, RSPCA, and SimplyHealth.
The judges praised GFM, adding: "Love this honest account of a true story of transformational change.
"Considering the challenges the company was facing, this project has made a significant impact in a short time.
"A truly inspirational award-worthy story."
Deia Sakal, managing director, said: "I’m incredibly proud of my team here at GFM.
"To be able to compete against some huge names and come out on top is a true testament to the passion and hard work of everyone at GFM.
"We’ve had a tough year, with our CEO Peter Sakal passing away, and this win really did mean a lot to everyone here.
"We’re doing great stuff here and it's great to be recognised for that."
The Engage Awards took place on Tuesday, November 26, at The Brewery on Chiswell Street.
