Motorists are being warned to expect delays following a crash on a major Essex road near Colchester.
Traffic has slowed down on the A12 near Marks Tey following a crash at around 4.30pm.
The road has been closed at the J26 near Stanway following a multi-vehicle collision.
The incident has caused delays on the carriageway towards Colchester Stadium.
Travellers are being advised to avoid the area and allow extra time for their journeys.
