A MUM is hoping to "help make things better for people" by launching a free cleaning business for people who are struggling.

Rebecca Woolf, 48, lives in Lexden, Colchester and works as a cleaner and freelance social media content creator.

She started ‘Walk N Talk’ in September as a women’s only walking group for socialising and exercise.

She is also the woman behind Kindshine, a new business which will offer free home cleans for people in difficult circumstances.

“It’s for when you get totally overwhelmed and everything gets way behind, and you have everything else going on that’s really difficult to deal with.

“If you’ve got disorganisation at home as well, it just adds to everything.”

She continued: “My idea is to go into people’s homes and see what they need, whether that’s a deep clean, ironing or washing.

“I want to do something different and do some good, and I want to create something that’s really big and could be duplicated in other areas.

“It’ll be a new style of business where you are helping people but they’re not the ones paying for the service.”

Plan - Rebecca plans to fund the business with social media engagementPlan - Rebecca plans to fund the business with social media engagement (Image: Rebecca Woolf) Rebecca plans to fund the business with revenue from social media platforms, such as TikTok and YouTube, where content creators can be paid when they achieve a certain number of viewers and subscribers.

Videos of before and after cleans often get hundreds of thousands of views.

She said: “It’ll work through the power of social media and the good it can do—when it’s used correctly, it can be so powerful.

“I think it potentially could be huge, because to not be on top of things and to sit around mess and dirt can really mentally affect you.

“Having a nice clean, safe environment with a nice clean kitchen and bathroom I think would have a huge impact on people.”

She said: “It won’t solve anyone’s mental health issues or other illnesses or disabilities, but it will make a difference.”
