RETRO-ROCKER, Lenny Kravitz, showed it certainly wasn’t over until he said so.
The 44-year old gave an electric performance on the V festival’s main stage on Sunday with an extended set involving the entire crowd of tens of thousands of people.
There was something for everyone in his career-spanning show which combined rock with funk, soul, reggae and ballads.
His classic hits It Ain’t Over Til It’s Over, American Woman, Fly Away and Dancing Til Dawn slotted around covers of Pink Floyd’s Another Brick In The Wall and Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean.
And when stage crews began to fidget nervously as the clocked ticked on, the American singer-songwriter rebelliously declared he would keep playing “even if they cut the power.”
The set came to spectacular finish as Kravitz called for world peace and responded to shouts for more by pumping out Are You Going To Go My Way.
Fans were whipped into a frenzy as he climbed down from the stage to spend the final number shaking their hands.
