A PCSO has defended young people in the area.
Speaking at a Ramsey and Parkeston Parish Council meeting, PCSO Philip Barnes said there had been a slight rise in crime in the two villages during November, but that the majority of complaints about nuisance youths were unfounded.
“We have had five reports of criminal damage, one burglary, one domestic assault, one theft and one cannabis warning," he said.
However, PCSO Barnes said the majority of calls relate to nuisance youths were young people hanging around with nothing to do.
He said:“A lot of the nuisance calls you get are from residents worried about them standing around and most of the time they are not really causing a nuisance."
