A STUDENT police officer from Essex has been suspended after being questioned over shouted racist abuse aimed at Portsmouth football player Sol Campbell.
The Essex Police trainee was suspended from duty because of the investigation by Hampshire Constabulary into indecent chanting at a match between Portsmouth and Tottenham.
The abuse, which was made by a group of football hooligans, was directed at former Arsenal and England player Sol Campbell during the match at Fratton Park on September 28.
