A MAN has been fined for shouting and swearing at police after he was thrown out of a pub.
Frankie McFarlane, of Newman Drive, Boxted, was ordered to pay £475 after he admitted being threatening and abusive to officers and resisting arrest during a drunken night out.
Colchester Magistrates’ Court heard McFarlane, 21, was kicked out of a pub in Head Street, Colchester, on November 8, just before midnight, after a row with another punter.
McFarlane accepted the charges but denied kicking out at police. He said: “I was drunk but the police made it sound worse than it was.”
He was fined £400 for resisting arrest and ordered to pay £60 legal costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
