A TEENAGER has been left with a suspected broken cheekbone following a “vindictive” attack by two robbers.
The balaclava-wearing men approached the 18-year-old in Thorpe Road, Kirby Cross.
They assaulted the teen, stole his tobacco and £5, and then made off towards Thorpe.
Investigating officer Det Con Tim Coyles said: “If anyone thinks they saw anything in this area of Thorpe Road – particularly around the Indian and Chinese restaurants – I would urge them to call us.”
Both suspects are described as being in their late teens and were wearing black balaclavas and black hooded tops.
One of the men’s tops had a thick red stripe from shoulder to shoulder.
Anyone with information about the incident, which happened at about 10.30pm on Sunday, should call Clacton CID on 0300 333 4444.
