ANYONE who commits a crime this Christmas could face a festive season behind bars, police have warned.
Essex Police has launched its latest campaign, entitled What thyme will you be serving this Christmas?
It aims to not only warn offenders that officers are cracking down on trouble-makers and criminals over the festive period, but also to remind residents of simple steps they can take to stay safe.
Essex Police crime reduction Sgt Nathalie Carr said: “It is important to remember that criminals don’t take a holiday over the Christmas period.
"Although we want people to enjoy themselves, it is vital that everyone thinks about their safety."
