LEISURE bosses in Tendring have joined a new national plan for teaching swimming.
Tendring Council has signed a five-year deal with the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) to deliver the sessions at Clacton Leisure Centre, Dovercourt Swimming Pool and Frinton and Walton Swimming Pool.
The council’s ASA-qualified swimming teachers have attended training to bring them up to date with new methods and skills.
Pools manager Martin Webb said staff have always used the ASA awards scheme but the new plan will allow them to review practices and improve delivery.
