A 12-YEAR-OLD boy was attacked in an “unprovoked” assault.
The youngster was left “very shaken” after the assault, at the junction of Pathfields Road and Douglas Road, Clacton.
A spokesman for Clacton police said the boy was approached by two other boys while walking on his own along the pavement in the dark.
One of them grabbed the 12-year-old’s neck and pulled him to the ground before running off.
Investigating officer PC Kathryn Parker said: “This was an unprovoked attack which left the victim very shaken. We are extremely keen to speak to anyone who was in this area at the time, so if you did see anything, please do get in touch.”
The first attacker is described as being 14 or 15 years old. He was wearing a white tracksuit and had short blond hair. The second attacker was of a similar age and was wearing a dark tracksuit and had short dark hair.

l The attack follows an robbery on Sunday at 10.30pm in which two balaclava-wearing men attacked a teenager in Thorpe Road, Kirby Cross.
The 18-year-old suffered a suspected broken cheekbone during the assault, following which his attackers took his tobacco and £5.
