A FORMER swimming world champion dived into Eight Ash Green to launch a new swim school.
Karen Pickering visited the Spirit Health Club at Holiday Inn, Abbotts Lane, to launch her club aimed at getting youngsters and the 20 per cent of adults who cannot swim into the pool.
Scores of youngsters and adults attended the launch of Karen Pickering Swim, which aims to offer top-quality lessons run by experienced teachers.
The four-times world champion later helped take a fun lesson for a group of children.
“I’m really excited to start a Swim school here – this is such a nice pool.”
Classes include Bump to Baby for mums-to-be, parent-and-baby, pre-school lessons and Swim Slim for those wanting to get more out of swimming.
