A FESTIVE fundraiser has bagged £575 in her guise as Mrs Christmas so far this year.
Ruth Clark, of The Street, Weeley, has donned the red and white yuletide garb for good causes since 1996.
This year, the 63-year-old is raising money for Colchester hospital’s chemotherapy ward.
Mrs Clark, who battled breast cancer for two years, held a craft fair and grotto at Weeley village hall earlier this month.
“I’ve raised £575 so far, and there is still money coming in,” she said.
“I’ve got five more pre-Christmas events planned, and by the time I’ve finished I hope to have a good lot of money.
“I’d like to thank everyone who has helped me, especially Foots Farm Riding School, they have all been absolutely amazing.”
