THOUSANDS of festive shoppers turned out in force for Frinton’s Christmas spectacle.
The Frinton Christmas Festival, which included the resort’s stores opening late, took place in Connaught Avenue.
The festivities included a parade led by a horsedrawn landau with Father Christmas, the Walton Carnival Queen and her princesses.
The Harwich and District Pipes and Drums, the Harwich branch of the Royal British Legion’s Pipe Band, the Walton Sea Cadets and a small classic car parade also helped make the show a night to remember.
Carols were sung by the primary school pupils, Tendring Technology College and Frinton Rotary Club.
:: Santa and his elves will be returning to Frinton tomorrow on a horse-drawn carriage.
Riders and horses from Foots Farm in Thorpe Road, Clacton, will be in Connaught Avenue from 2.30pm.
The event will see cash raised for the Essex Air Ambulance.
