Looking for something a little different to do on Boxing Day?

Then why not get yourself along to the Black Buoy pub in Wivenhoe, where the Colchester Morris Men will be performing their traditional charity display.

The men have danced at the pub for many years and have collected thousands of pounds for various local children’s charities in the process.

The style of dances performed are the traditional male-only English Cotswold ceremonial dances, the pagan origins of which are lost in time. These dances were often a part of important village events such as May Day celebrations and the harvest festival.

The Colchester Morris Men will be performing outside the Black Buoy pub, Wivenhoe, on Boxing Day at 12.30pm.
