I am looking for information about my great grandfather WILLIAM REGINALD SANGSTER HILL (aka HILLS) who was a baker/confectioner/pastry cook.
The shop was in a main street(actual street unknown) in Ilford from sometime after 1901 till date unknown.
Did he work there or own it?
Only clue to the whereabouts of the shop maybe is the fact that it burned down...when?? Date unknown.
He and my great grandmother known as Rose (Frances) had 8 children but he apparently had another 'wife' and children. The second family were known as Hill / Hills / or maybe Sangster.
He was remembered by a couple of his children as having made'confectionery" creations and taking them home.
Is there anyone out there who can help either about the business or about the second family or even the first.
Any information about his second family and/or his bakery and its history gratefully received.
