A MAN stabbed “multiple” times and hit by a car in broad daylight.
The incident happened in Broadway, Jaywick, around 6pm on Saturday.
The victim, from Jaywick was attacked by a group of men but he and one of his attackers were also struck by a red Ford Fiesta.
A police spokesman said officers were unclear about what happened to the attacker who was struck.
But the victim, who was aged in his 50s, was stabbed before being left at the scene, and the car made off.
Two women and a youth were arrested for assisting an offender in connection with the attack and were continuing to be questioned.
Detectives believe that they know the identities of others involved in the attack and are actively seeking to trace and arrest them.
