HUNDREDS of children and adults kept up a 100-year-old tradition and enjoyed activites and entertainment at the Frinton Mission.
The church-based summertime fun week is based in five local churches. More than 700 children, aged three to 13, signed up for the week and some 300 adults have been taking part in the Bible Study groups, social mornings and evening entertainment in the marquee.
The children have been enjoying bouncy castles, making sandcastles, games, water fights and talks with the themes of Seaside Rock and At the Big Top.
They gathered in a marquee on the Greensward on Saturday for plays, music, comedy, magicians and illusionists.
Co-ordinator Heather Ursell said: “This year we have about 700 children taking part and in the evening up to 300 adults with some 200 at the morning events.”
