SIXTH form students in Colchester are today celebrating record results in their A levels.
Every student at the selective Colchester Royal Grammar School and Colchester County High School for Girls passed all of their exams.
96 students at CRGS and 46 at CCHS obtained at least three A grades.
Grammar School student Theo Boardman-Pretty, 18 from Nayland, got A’s in Biology, Chemistry, Maths, History, General Studies and Critical Thinking.
He will soon be off to Cambridge to do Medicine.
He said: “I feel fantastic.
“I had Nottingham as my second choice but the grades were very similar, so it was probably Cambridge or nothing."
Hannah Lennard-Jones was one of three students at CCHS to get five A’s.
The 18-year-old scored top marks in Biology, Chemistry, Geography, Maths and Critical Thinking, and is off to Leeds University to study medicine.
She said: “I’m just so relieved I’m going where I want to go and do what I want to do with my life."
The Sixth Form College was also celebrating its best results ever with a 98 per cent pass rate.
