After years living, growing up and working on Moverons Farm, Brightlingsea, the hype over what we called thorn apple (Gazette, August 13: Devil Plant Growing in Greenstead) amazes me.
Back in the Seventies and Eighties, we played around Dtura stamonium, and our geese and ducks ate it alongside the wild rabbits, all to no avail.
If you don’t like it, use your common sense and pull it up.
