STANWAY people will be seeing a new face on the streets – the area’s new neighbourhood specialist officer, PC Michael Lee.
PC Lee says he can’t wait to get stuck into his new role.
An Essex policeman for the past 30 months, he spent most of that time in the Colchester South neighbourhood policing team.
He is now the first point of contact for residents with problems, or looking for advice on policing.
He said: “I’ve lived in Colchester most of my life and I know Stanway particularly well.
“That’s why I wanted the role. It’s a great place and I hope I can help to make it an even more enjoyable and safer area to live.”
PC Lee had promised to take an especially tough stance on antisocial behaviour.
He said: “We won’t tolerate the minority affecting everybody else trying to enjoy their everyday life. I strongly believe the minority who commit offences such as anti-social behaviour should not be allowed to spoil the area for the rest of the community.”
