A WOMAN has been charged with possession of drugs following a raid on a Colchester flat.
Officers swooped on the housing association home in Plowright House, in St Peter’s Street.
They unlocked the communal entrance door and front door with a key before 11 officers conducted a search of the flat, part of a block managed by Family Mosaic Housing Association.
Officers seized a quantity of what are believed to be Class A drugs.
A 30-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of drugs offences and was taken to Colchester police station for questioning.
Yesterday, she was charged with possessing a substance believed to be a Class A drug, and bailed to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court in November.
The raid, at about 7.20pm on Tuesday, was the result of a tip-off from neighbours.
