STAFF at Colchester’s newest supermarket have been given a crash course in the town’s 2,000-year history.
Managers from Waitrose, which opens in Cowdray Avenue on September 17, were given a behind-the-scenes tour at Colchester Castle.
The supermarket says it wants to work with Colchester and Ipswich Museum Service to help promote the town’s heritage.
Manager Paul Reeley said it was important to have a sound knowledge of the town in which his staff were trading.
