TWELVE customers and workers from the Swan pub, in Stanway, proved they had the bottle to bungee jump for charity.

The daring dozen were strapped into a harness, before being winched in a metal cage 200ft above the ground for their jump.

Landlord Steve Besant organised the event to raise money for Essex Air Ambulance.

He said: “It has been a great day. We have been very busy and people have been happily dropping money into the bucket for the air ambulance.”

Bar tender Kris Hill, who took the plunge, said: “You lean forward and then there is that sense of falling with nothing, but as soon as you do it, it feels really good. It is a great buzz.”
