Could I please appeal to the residents of the Dutch Quarter, colchester, to keep a watchful eye for our much-loved cat Smartie.
We moved here three weeks ago. He went out with his brother and sister after a week’s “house arrest”, to get him used to the area. The other two came back, sadly Smartie didn’t. He is only 18- months-old, mainly black with white paws. He was wearing a sparkly blue collar with a ball. Smartie has just been neutered.
I have a very sad granddaughter Elianna, six, because Smartie is her pet.
Her mum is asthmatic so she was unable to have a pet at her own home, so we kept him here.
I am fearful he has been run over, not being used to all the town centre traffic.
Please, if anyone has any news of Smartie, could they call me on 07816 628293.
