With reference to your article on Walton (August 19), I am a newcomer to Walton and, in spite of it being “rundown” in some parts, I find the “locals”
make up for this by their welcoming nature.
The town suffered when Woolies went and I hope and pray that Tesco can soon open up a shop. It would certainly breathe life into that part of the town, especially if they have an instore bank.
I feel Walton has a certain “charm” that should be maintained.
