People who campaign against animal circuses have long been aware of the distress caused to the animals.
Each time the circus moves to another venue, the animals are loaded into the confines of the best wagons while the site is dismantled, and there they stay until a new destination is reached. This can be many hours later.
Cruelty in their training has been another concern, and now this has been confirmed by the expose shown on television and reported in the newspapers, notably the Gazette, which covered the horrific beating and abuse of elephants in the Great British Circus.
Please ask your MP to support a ban on animal circuses and try to join any peaceful protests against such circuses.
