The council watched Mr Moonflower (Couple Told To Knock Down Dream Home, Gazette, August 27) restoring derelict cottages and let him spend his savings on this project. He has converted an eyesore into a pleasant looking dwelling.
The purpose of the buildings hasn’t changed it is still going to be used for housing and I am sure that Mr Moonflower will do as good a job on the garden, keeping it neat and tidy.
What he should have done is not got planning permission, moved in on a bank holiday weekend and called himself a traveller.
That way he would be allowed to stay. It would appear one law for some and another for others.
