A FATHER-OF-TWO is taking part in a ten-day bike ride to fundraise for a cancer charity.
David Besley, 35, of Keeble Way, Braintree, is setting off on Saturday, September 12, on his Land’s End to John O’Groats adventure in aid of Cancer Research UK.
Joining him are friends Graham Bradley and Lee Woods, both 33, from Wickford, who will be raising money for Cancer Research UK and the Stroke Association respectively.
Mr Besley said the fundraising was “definitely to give something back” as his mum Beryl, from Cornwall, died from cancer when he was 18 and his brother Paul, 42, has been given the all clear after being diagnosed with the disease.
He said: “I know the fantastic work Cancer Research UK do and they are doing so much hard work to get cures for this.”
