A BEACH party marked the end of a summer of fun on a Colchester estate.
Children dug out their loudest Hawaiian shirts and garlands for an afternoon of fun at Greenstead Community Centre.
During the holidays, the children have been to the beach at Walton, visited East Mersea Youth Camp and staged their own cabaret show, as well as taking part in art and craft activities and games.
Penny Chater, the centre’s assistant manager said: “We’ve had so much fun together this summer with a good turnout of children, who have been able to make some very good friendships. The party was a very happy occasion, with all the kids dressed up, though it was also a bit sad, as the children were saying goodbye to each other.”
