A ticketed car in Colchester
TRAFFIC wardens are on course to dish out an extra 2,000 parking tickets in Colchester this year, the Gazette can reveal.
Colchester Council’s attendants handed out 12,836 fines in 2008, and ticketed more than 9,000 motorists in the first seven months of 2009.
The authority was forced to list every ticket issued since July 2004 following a Freedom of Information request.
