This once again is a message to certain allotment holders.
What happens if I do not work my allotment? Simple – use it or lose it.
Plots are inspected at least four times a year, and if you don’t keep your plot under cultivation, you will have a gentle, encouraging word from a committee member. If it persists, you will get a letter.
We require 80 per cent of the plot to be cultivated or in a tidy condition.
There is a large waiting list due to the present recession and it’s only fair that folks who are not prepared to cultivate their plots be asked to hand over to someone who will.
