TWO albino hedgehogs have been taken in by a wildlife rescue centre.
One albino was part of a litter of five brought to the centre after their mother died. The other was part of a litter of three, found in West Bergholt.
Only one hedgehog in 100,000 is born albino and Wildlives Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre, in Thorrington, says the pair will not be released into the wild as they would be vulnerable to predators and more susceptible to illness.
Rosie Catford, of Wildlives, said: “They will have to be released in an enclosed garden, where they cannot escape and someone can keep an eye on them.”
