Concentrating – a farmer checks on his furrows
FARMERS tested their skills at an annual ploughing match.
Competitors from the Greenstead Green and District Agricultural Club, which covers the Halstead area, held their own competitions before the winners joined their counterparts from across the county.
Visitors to Great Lodge Farm in Great Bardfield watched the farmers plough plots and display harvested crops.
There were also demonstrations of tractors and horse-drawn ploughs.
