SEA cadets put their skills to the test on a voyage to France.
Youngsters from Colchester Sea Cadet Unit embarked on their national organisation’s off-shore power vessel training ship, John Jerwood.
After a day getting acquainted with it at Brixham, in Devon, they sailed to the French port of Cherbourg, and then to the Channel Islands Alderney and Jersey.
They then headed back to Granville, in France, before making another call at Jersey on their way back to England.
The John Jerwood’s captain, Lt Commander Colin Watkins, praised the cadets for their “excellent behaviour”.
