SIX teenagers have been arrested after a fire at a garage.

Firefighters were called to the building, which was attached to a bungalow in Park Square West, Jaywick, at 11.30pm yesterday.

They used two hose reels to put out the fire, which is believed to have gutted the garage.

The bungalow was left smoke-damaged.

There was no one in the home, but two dogs were rescued by firefighters.

The youths, all aged 17 and 19 and from the Clacton and Jaywick areas, are currently being questioned by police on suspicion of arson.
