A great-grandmother is offering a reward for the return of two gold rings.

Maud Goodwin, of Kirby Cross, said she feels "devastated" after she lost her purse on a bus containing the two precious rings given to her by her late husband.

The 77-year-old said she will give a three-figure sum to anyone who can return the rings to her after her brown purse fell out of her trolley, unnoticed to her.

She said: "They mean so much to me. When I lost them, it was like my husband had been taken from me all over again."

Mrs Goodwin was travelling between Frinton's Triangle Shopping Centre and Parkers Nursery on Frinton Road, Kirby Cross, when the purse fell out of her bag at about 1.30pm on February 7.

Her engagement ring had three diamonds on a platinum shoulder, set on a 18-carat gold ring. The other was a sapphire and diamond on a gold ring given to her by her husband, who died in 2000, for her 50th birthday.
