A memorial garden is to be planted at murdered Southend student Sally Geeson's former primary school.
Work at Bournes Green Junior School, Southend, starts on Monday
Sally, 22, who was murdered in Cambridge, went to the school with her twin sister and their mother, Sue, worked there as a teaching assistant.
The garden will be designed and planted by members of a Prince's Trust course at the YMCA in Ambleside Road, near the school, as a community project.
Mrs Geeson, of Cornworthy, Shoebury, said: "It's absolutely wonderful. I'm going to be as closely involved as I can. I have already been to meet the team."
The Prince's Trust runs 12-week courses for unemployed youngsters aged 16 to 24.
