Colchester Harriers' tradition of winning the team events at the Essex road championship events continued at the Essex Half-Marathon Championships.
The men's line-up scooped the gold medals at the event held at Woodford Green with snow flurries and strong winds adding to the tough two-lap race.
Soldier Jon Creak led the team home and cruised around the course in one hour 14 minutes and one second to take fifth spot and the individual Essex senior bronze.
Creak now turns his attentions to busting 2h 30 at the London Marathon.
Just behind was Harriers' team-captain Pete West who finished seventh in 1h 14.20 and took the first veteran over-40s medal. He was also part of the winning team that doubled his golden tally.
The ever-reliable Colin Lewin was the team anchor man. The experienced triathlete clocked a fine 1h 17.37 to come home in 14th spot and give the Green Vests their second set of county team gold medal triumphs in a fortnight following the fine win at the Rochford Essex 20-mile race.
